I've recently ordered a pair of the K2 Backside skis: the Backlash, with Marker Baron bindings. Can't wait to ski on them! But apparently there's a bit of a delay in the 174cm version reaching the store in the UK from which I've ordered them. I hope they arrive in time for Christmas ...

I couldn’t agree more: an amazing trip that was executed to military perfection. Hooooohaa!

Black, you, Kuba and Niki did an incredible job on both the front end, as well as during the trip with the concept, organization and logistics. Your work, with the addition of Mechura’s entertaining commentary and leadership contributed to the undeniable “K2 DNA” that permeated this adventure.

And Lisa, Martin and Pella—who’s work I know started well before we ever set foot on snow—did an exceptional job with leadership, selecting groups, choosing and scouting challenging but attainable peaks for a range of experience and fitness, and of course keeping everybody safe.
It was awesome to be in the mountains with such a great crew.
Thanks again, and nice work everyone! Hatt

With only 12 people arriving at the top before the lift closed this created the perfect powder pleasure dome. A short bit of white out, a long, long descent of fresh tracks. At P1 greeted by the lifties ready to take 12 people down. A beer at the bottom. Perfect!

This was the biggest day I've had! Utterly the best route. Had everything, climbing, powder, adrenalin. What more could you wish for! Makes helicopters seem naff.

La Grave is already "Retro", at least the lift system. Would love to see you guys and girls, yah just found more "Retro" skis in the tip yesterday, some beautiful Hickory Rossies from like the 60's I bet, and some clasic Kerma ski poles,,, it's yet another "Retro Sunday" here in Argentiere, Anna-Karin, new girl friend, and I are about to slip into our one pieces, grab some skinny skis and head up the GM and see if any other skiers of style are up there, we meet up for lunch do some "slow-dog noodles" maybe some tip rolls if I feel up for it, rip some bump lines, then set up and play apre at the Marmottons, where we do apre each sunday,,,,, Yah I think La Grave should join in on the fun, after all you do have "Retro Bill" kicking about still ay?,,,, abientot,, and do you need a band? I specialize in "Retro" music,,,, cheers Gary

Hi Ayse and Pelle
I hope everything is well, things in lugano are very nice the weather is fantastic. I had a great week skiing, all time. but if i had to choose one run, my favorite run of the trip was the 2nd to last day when we went from the very top of the glacier, all the way down through the Giroze Center, the snow was perfect
